The Canon Powershot A480 is an entry level digital camera. It is the most simple and straightforward digital camera available from Canon. When compared to previous models in this part of the Canon range it is smaller and more compact. This is a 10 megapixel camera with a 3.3x optical zoom lens. It is available in silver, black, red and blue.
The Powershot A480 has all the features you would expect from a point and cashoot mera. There are also a few enhanced features such as a macro mode that allows you to focus from 1cm away from the subject. That is a big plus if you are looking for a handy camera that can take a decent close up shot.
Elsewhere on the camera you will find a 2.5 inch LCD screen. Canon has also included red eye correction so you can clean up problems caused by portrait shots being taken using flash.
